If an organization wants more people to demonstrate leadership and innovation ? people willing to see and do things in a different way, people who want to take the organization to another level ? the message from the top must be clear and credible. That means the organization must stop promoting and standing behind managers who squelch discussion and new ideas and punish dissenters.
