Alec Baldwin shared a photo from his wedding to yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas, which occurred on June 30 in New York City.
"My 8000th tweet is a smile to @hilariabaldwin," Baldwin wrote on Twitter on August 15, sharing a photo of him with his arms wrapped around Thomas in her wedding gown.
Thomas replied, "me encanta tu sonrisa...8,000 is a lucky number." The Spanish to English translation of "me encanta tu sonrisa" is "I like your smile."
The two married at St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in a Catholic ceremony attended by family and famous Hollywood pals, including Baldwin's "30 Rock" co-star Tina Fey, actress Mariska Hargitay, director Woody Allen, environmental lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Baldwin's actor-brother, Stephen.
Thomas, 28, wore a silk Amsale gown with cap sleeves and a keyhole back neckline accented with crystal buttons. The 54-year-old actor donned a suit designed by Tom Ford.
Baldwin's agent Matthew Hiltzik confirmed the engagement on April 2. The actor first introduced Thomas to his fans during an appearance on the "Late Show" in August, 2011.
"I have a woman in my life, who's very important to me, my girlfriend," Baldwin told host David Letterman at the time. When asked how long they'd been dating, the actor joked, "On a spiritual level, I've known her forever, Dave."
Hours before the ceremony, Baldwin took to his Twitter account, reciting lines from an Emily Dickenson poem. One read: "Was bridal e'er like this? A paradise, the host, And cherubim and seraphim The most familiar guest."
Last summer, the "30 Rock" actor sold his Upper West Side apartment to move in with Thomas in SoHo. Thomas teaches yoga at the Union Square studio Yoga Vida and has had a healthy effect on Baldwin, who slimmed-down in recent months.
This will be the second marriage for Baldwin, whose nine-year marriage to actress Kim Basinger ended in 2002. Baldwin has one daughter from his marriage to the actress - 16-year-old Ireland.
This will be the first marriage for Thomas, who met Baldwin in early 2011 while dining with friends at Pure Food and Wine, a raw food restaurant in New York City.
